Ambattuparambil Gopi Nikhil

My name is Nikhil Ambattuparambil Gopi. In short, I am a proud Indian, a sucker for punctuality and a dreamer without limits. I love travelling,

I'm a Naval Architect graduate from IIT Kharagpur. I had only fallen in love with my core field AFTER opting for it. But never since have I been disappointed in its marvel. The idea of building vessels that transfer whole cities from one part of the world to the other while braving fierce weathers and ensuring safety of each and every human and machine inside, is one that never ceases to amaze me. The myriad ways in which man has tried to master the ever-changing liquid of life, is fascinating.
I used to be this studious, self-centred, shy guy vary of his surroundings and always dependent. One of the few things I remember out of my school years is that I changed schools a lot, learned Karate till I got the Black belt and was always interested in Sketching and Painting. Books were my intimate friends and fiction shaped my mind.

Then came college - an institute that has mentored thousands of above average students, an institute that has handmade individuals who have contributed in almost every profession and discipline, an institute that has pioneered India's most valuable resource : it's technical manpower - IIT Kharagpur.

The change was extraordinary and has only reinforced in me, the real need of hostel life and getting out of the clutches of parental care as part of your growing up.

Then came another big change - I got enlisted for service to the nation - I might have taken my alma mater's motto too literally. 10 years of government service was a huge learning experience and an eye-opening insight into how policies are formulated in the corridors of power. It has, however, reinforced my resolve to seek a life devoid of office rut and monthly credits to the account. Let's see how that pans out.
